Jeaneilla Teixeira ( a fashion student’s perspective)
Big Data can do numerous things to help fashion brands, such as analysis trends on social media, inform brands about their target market’s preferences. Specifically, Big Data can inform brands what colors are favored by their consumers by analyzing data that tells us what colors have been purchased by consumers in the past. Big Data can also tell fashion brands when purchases are made, how large purchases are, and how many items were sold. Through this data, companies can also learn what prices consumers are willing to pay, and what products have been most successful in the past.
